Application Name: Private Data AI Assistant (the "Service," "App")
ATTENTION: By installing or using the Private Data AI Assistant, you and your organization (the "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service, including the Free Trial and any future Paid Subscription for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) services.
The Service is provided to organizations operating within the Google Workspace ecosystem. By installing the Service, the individual installing it represents and warrants that they are an authorized agent of the Customer (the organization/domain) with the authority to bind the Customer to these Terms.
The Service is a Web Application that uses Google’s Gemini model, augmented by the Vertex AI RAG Engine, to provide synthesized answers to user queries based on data explicitly provided by the Customer (e.g., documents in a designated Google Drive folder).
Free Trial: The Customer is granted a limited, non-transferable Free Trial, capped at five (5) queries per user. The Free Trial only provides answers based on public, non-proprietary demo content, not the Customer's private documents.
Paid Subscription: The Paid Subscription unlocks unlimited queries and the ability to link a private Google Drive folder to create a custom RAG corpus for private, domain-specific knowledge retrieval.
3.1 Data Ownership:
The Customer retains all ownership rights to the content, documents, and data accessed by the Service ("Customer Data"). We claim no ownership over Customer Data.
3.2 Permissions and RAG Corpus:
By installing the Service, the Customer authorizes the Service to access the Google Workspace APIs as required by the scopes requested during installation (e.g., reading user profile information).
For the Paid Subscription, the Customer explicitly authorizes the designated Google Cloud Service Account (as instructed during setup) to access and index the content within the specified Google Drive folder to create the RAG corpus.
3.3 Data Use Restriction (Mandatory):
As stipulated in the accompanying Privacy Policy, all Customer Data, including documents and user queries (prompts), is subject to strict Limited Use provisions. This data is used only for providing the Service's explicit function and will never be used for general model training or marketing purposes.
4.1 Free Trial Limit:
The Customer acknowledges that the Service will automatically block further AI queries once the five (5) query limit per user is reached during the Free Trial period. Continued access requires purchasing a Paid Subscription through the Google Cloud Marketplace (GCM).
4.2 Customer Obligations:
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all data provided to the RAG corpus complies with their internal policies and all external laws (including copyright).
The Customer is responsible for managing user access and permissions within their Google Workspace domain.
4.3 No Warranty:
The Service relies on Artificial Intelligence models. While RAG significantly improves accuracy, the Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that every answer will be 100% accurate, error-free, or comprehensive. The Service is an assistant and is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, or expert advice.
All paid subscriptions for the Service will be processed exclusively through the Google Cloud Marketplace (GCM), and governed by the GCM Partner Agreement.
The Customer's billing relationship is with Google Cloud, and payment terms, cancellation, and refund policies are managed by GCM.
The Customer may terminate these Terms by uninstalling the Service from their Google Workspace domain. We may terminate these Terms immediately if the Customer violates any part of these Terms or if the Google Workspace Marketplace listing is removed or suspended.
